Croydon Police have responded brilliantly to an angry Twitter user after its search for a lost boy was called "disgraceful," because it was causing too much noise.

Early this morning (November 10), helicopters were heard flying over West Croydon. searching for Daniel Obolo, who has still not been found.

This user was then called a "snowflake" by someone else after it came out that police helicopters were searching for a lost 11-year-old Daniel Obolo, who has still not been found.

@SuziSakura's tweet said: "@MPSCroydon Can someone please explain why there are really loud helicopters flying around West Croydon none stop from 12.10am?! If it's not illegal, it should be. Disgraceful."

This prompted a response from the police.

@CroydonMPS wrote: "The helicopter was assisting with a search for an eleven year old boy who has been missing since yesterday. I'm sorry that you feel the service we provide is disgraceful."

This response has since been praised by others on the social media site.

"Well done on robustly challenging this utterly unfounded criticism," one person wrote.

"Amazes me that someone would think it's being done for the fun of it , if the helicopter is out its for a reason," another responded.

With another asking if they would feel the same way if it was their child missing.

"Get a grip snowflake would you be as critical if they were searching for your child?"
