A new piece of artwork has popped up in Croydon and it has already sparked debate: is it a Banksy?

Nick Vincent, the director at Proctors estate agents in Shirley, was arriving at work this morning (November 10) when he spotted something out of the ordinary.

“I was very surprised to see the artwork as I arrived at work this morning as it’s not something you’d usually find in Shirley," Mr Vincent said

"I’m excited to find out if it a Banksy, however even if it turns out that it isn’t I’ll still be admiring the art and what it stands for.”

The design, which features a poppy to mark Remembrance Day "resembles Banksy’s infamous work in terms of style and colour."
