Syon Park’s enchanted forest has been brought back for the 12th year running and it’s simply spectacular! The usual array of colours from Syon’s great collection of trees, were brought to a whole new light as the woods were transformed into an enchanted festive trail, and produced for the great number of visitors. When visitors walked up to the woodland and admired the brilliant decorated Syon they exclaimed that –‘’It was hardly recognisable!’’ The woodland had such an enormous transformation, the imaginative scenes and beautiful bright lights that adorned the surrounding area mesmerised many. The trail displayed magical and breath-taking scenes with every walk, starting with sparkling lit up trees surrounded by the misty fog, moving towards fairy-tale like gardens creating gasps from children and adults alike.

Enchanting music filled the air, creating an atmosphere of anticipation as you wandered along the trail. A scene that attracted much attention was the glowing bridge that provided a fascinating view of the surrounding woodland, the glistening reflection of the lights spread across the lake, a picturesque view for the many photographers. Miniature winter scenes dotted throughout the woodlands, caught the eyes of many children and families. A magnificent feature to the trail were the flashing light’s projecting onto the grand Syon House, shaping stunning patterns with bright colours on every wall. However all the excitement from the outside was equally created on the inside, as the trail led to the finale of a laser light show in the Great Conservatory. Crowds of people gathered together to watch the highly anticipated show, as the beaming lights radiated throughout the dome. The plants that decorate Syon’s glass ceilings, filled the indoor trail forming boundless shadows throughout the interior.

As the event drew to a close visitors relaxed and joined in with the festive spirit, by drinking mulled wine and hot chocolate and eating warm mince pies and cakes. The evening was one surely not to be missed and was most definitely enjoyed by everyone. Visitors explained that ‘’the queues were a new addition to the event, as it just grows more popular every single year!’’ Tickets were on sale at £10.00 for adults and £ 5.00 for children (3-16years) a special online family ticket priced at £27.00 for a family of 4 (2 Adults, 2 Children) were also on offer. However the number of tickets were running out rapidly, as they were completely sold out and no more tickets were being sold at the door or online. As many people travelled to see the event with lots of tourists visiting as well, many were advised to travel by public transport as even parking was limited!

Talk of coming back to visit was very common, as the magical views were so memorable for all those who came to watch. The spectacle was a hit with young children and families and everyone was very impressed with the event, which also explains why visitors keep returning year on year to discover the new attractions that Syon’s Enchanted Woodland has to offer. The event was hugely recommended by all who visited the Enchanted Woodland, lots of happy visitors described it as ‘’the perfect relaxed family outing with lots of hidden treasures’’. Lots of adult’s as well as children’s favourite part, were the lasers and smoke machines at the Great Conservatory. Going to visit the Enchanted Woodland is definitely advised, as it opens only a few weekends in late November. The number of visitors in the future is not expected to decrease, as many who attended described it as ‘’the perfect activity leading up to Christmas and one they would make an annual tradition!’’
