A 27-year old female is in a ‘critical’ but stable condition after being hit by a car on Kingston Road last night.
Police were called to Kingston Road, Wimbledon, at the junction of Martin Way at 8.36pm following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle, with the road being closed off.
Traffic was diverted right onto Martin Way, with vehicles only being able to turn left onto Bushey Road.
A Met Police spokesman said: “A 27-year old female was taken to a South West London hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
“The vehicle stopped at the scene and assisted police as enquiries are still on-going.”
The Met’s Road and Police Command were also had the scene investigating.
