A new retirement village is opening in Selsdon and the public are being given the chance to name it.

Churchill Retirement Living was granted planning approval in 2016 to demolish what was the existing sites at 33-36 Sanderstead Court, Addington Road.

While the 37-home building is currently under construction, the public only has a couple more weeks to cast their vote on the name.

And you will win more than a sense of pride if your name is chosen.

A spokesman for Churchill said: "The competition closing date is Friday, February 9, and the lucky winner will receive £100 from Churchill Retirement Living.

"The winning name will also appear on the development itself and in all related marketing literature.

"To enter the competition, please send your suggested name and the reason behind it along with your name, address and phone number to: Laura Worley, Selsdon Naming Competition, Freepost, Churchill Retirement Living.

"Keep in mind that Churchill Retirement Living development names always end in ‘Lodge’."
