A woman had to be taken to hospital following a house fire yesterday morning (January 31).
Two fire engines and 10 firefighters and officers were called at 6.57am to Gloucester Road, Croydon.
The fire was under control by 8.02am but one woman had to be rescued from the first floor by crews wearing breathing apparatuses.
She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews suffering smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation
