As Londoners battle the snow and the cold to get home this evening, forecasters are predicting more of the same over the weekend.

The snow is expected to continue to fall this evening, slowly turning into rain and sleet.

Tomorrow is not thought to be much better, with the Met Office saying that there is a high risk of ice and winds.

The sun might shine a little more than it has this week, but the highest temperature is still only going to be 4 degrees.

The Met Office has warned that although there may be less snow, we are not out of the woods in terms of Storm Emma's bitter winds.

The trains in London have struggled against the elements this evening, with Southeastern warning passengers only to travel if it is critical.

Disruption is expected to continue all night as the snow falls and the conditions turn icy.

Check your journeys ahead of time and only travel if necessary.
