The family of a Bexleyheath man killed in a crash on the M11 have paid tribute to their "kind and beloved son."

Reece Gnazalo, 22, has been provisionally named as the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Essex on Friday, March 2.

Police were called at about 8.15pm after a grey BMW lost control, spun and crashed into the central barrier of the motorway travelling southbound near junction 7.

Reece was one of two people in the BMW who tried to cross the carriageway after the crash when he was hit by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene just before 9.15pm.

In a statement, Reece's family said: "Reece Gnazalo was our beloved son whom was loved by all that met him. His beautiful smile and fantastic sense of humour will warm our hearts forever.

“Reece was the kindest person you would ever hope to meet. This news of his death is shocking to everyone that knows him. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest on Reece.”

Essex Police is investigating the BMW crash prior to Reece's death and are asking anyone who saw it on the M11 to contact the serious collision investigation unit on 101.
