A decision to film an episode of Black Mirror has sent the internet into a spin.

Last week a letter emerged which said that filming of the Netflix show would soon take place in St George's Walk.

"I am writing to inform you about filming in your area for the well-known Netflix drama series, Black Mirror," the letter said.

"If you are unfamiliar with Black Mirror, it is a series of sharp, suspenseful, satirical standalone dramas written by Charlie Brooker.

"It is hugely popular with its audience and strives to use beautiful locations within all the films."

When contacted by the Croydon Guardian, Ealing Studios confirmed that filming in Croydon would be taking place.

Since then, retro shops have been popping up all around town, from W H Smith to Wimpy.

With the first day of filming having taken place yesterday (April 25), it was fair to say people were excited to catch a glimpse of the set.

Here are some of the best tweets about Black Mirror coming to Croydon.

But if you weren't lucky enough to get down already, you are in luck as more filming will be taking place tomorrow (April 27).
