A man was left disgusted after he found poo smeared on the floor of a public toilet.
Darren Knights was shopping at the Sainsbury's in Upper Norwood, Westow Street, when he decided to relieve himself.
So he went to the public toilets connected to the store but was horrified by the state they were in.
"Where to begin," he posted on the Sainsbury's Facebook page, along with a picture of the faeces.
"This store is truly awful.
"Dodgy urine soaked stairwells, the store is terribly dated including the building itself. I needed to use the toilets recently, the pictures speak for themselves. Why on earth does anyone shop here?"
"Come on, get your act together."
Sainsbury's was quick to apologise, although it is believed the supermarket is not actually responsible for the upkeep of the toilets.
"I have called the store about this and it has been logged," Sainsbury's wrote back in response.
"Please understand that the store has been having plumbing issues for quite a while and due to that it is taking longer than usual to resolve this.
"I hope you understand. Please get in touch with us again if there is anything else we can help with."
But Mr Knights thinks more needs to be done to keep people coming to the area.
"The store, considering how the area has come up, really needs updating," he said.
"It’s just depressing.
"Having moved from Balham I was spoilt by the store there and Clapham, but I avoid Sainsbury’s here, even the Penge store is not much better."
