A Croydon man has handed himself into police following a shooting in Cardiff earlier this year.

In February, a 26-year-old man was taken to hospital after being shot in the face at a flat in Lynwood Court, Elm Street.

He suffered facial injuries as a result but was discharged from hospital two days later.

Yesterday (May 9) a 22-year-old woman was arrested in Tower Hamlets and later that day a 22-year-old man from Croydon voluntarily attended Cardiff Bay Police Station.

They are both being questioned by detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Rob Cronick, said: “This level of violence is extremely rare in South Wales and a dedicated team of detectives have been working on the investigation.

“Today’s arrests are a significant development in our investigation but we are still appealing for information, particularly in relation to the identity of three men and a silver Audi vehicle.”

Three men are still being sought by police in connection to the shooting.

They are all described as black, about 25 years old and were wearing navy boiler suits and black boots.

One of them, who was around 6ft tall, was also wearing a distinctive black and white paw print bandana around his face.

The two other men are shorter - between 5ft 3ins to 5ft 6ins.

DCI Cronick said: “We know this vehicle travelled from London to Cardiff on the morning of Saturday, February 10.

"We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle and its occupants at any time on that Saturday.”
