Police are "increasingly concerned" for the wellbeing of a man who absconded from hospital.

Coulsdon man Douglas Champion was last seen at Croydon University Hospital just before 4pm yesterday (May 16).

The 77-year-old is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 6in tall and is bald.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a grey cap, navy cardigan, navy trousers and black shoes. He walks very slowly.

He is known to frequent Croydon and Crawley.

He also has a freedom pass and is known to frequently travel by bus.

Police would urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police on 101 quoting Merlin 18MIS019439 or Missing People on 116000.
