Police have released the image of a man they want to speak with in connection to a serious assault that left the victim with two teeth missing.
Police were called at 8pm on November 5, 2017 to reports of an attack in Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath.
The victim, a 53-year-old man, told officers that the suspect and another person had walked into the shop, picked up bottles of alcohol and walked out without paying.
The victim followed the men and took the alcohol back.
The suspect then assaulted the victim by punching him, knocking him to the floor, and then kicking him in the face – causing the victim to lose two teeth.
A witness, who was already in the store, pushed the two men out and called London Ambulance Service who took the victim to a south London hospital.
The suspect police have released an image of is described as a white male, over 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey jumper and has short dark hair.
Anyone who recognises the man in the image asked to call 101 and quote 7332/5Nov17 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
