Police have launched an appeal after a woman had money stolen from her during an attack outside West Croydon station.

The incident happened at about 3pm on July 27 and Gurinder Singh, 27, of no fixed abode, has been arrested and charged in connection.

But police are still looking for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Joseph Smith said: “The victim has told us that members of the public were around at the time of the incident and we know that some of those people came forward to help her.

“If you saw what happened or were one of the people that stepped in to help please get in touch with us immediately.”
