The three main candidates for London Mayor go head-to-head in a debate to be broadcast tonight.

Labour incumbent Ken Livingstone, Conservative Boris Johnson and Balham-born Lib Dem Brian Paddick will appear in the debate on ITV1 at 11.05pm.

In an at times heated debate, Mr Livingstone appeared to blame former Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for London's youth gang problems.

Londoners go to the polls on May 1 to pick their mayor.
