Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has swooped to sign defender Clint Hill on a permanent basis.

The former Stoke City man has been on loan at Selhurst Park and has made 14 appearances under Warnock who confirmed the move this afternoon.

The Eagles chief said: "I'm delighted to finally welcome Clint Hill on board permanently.

"He may not be the type of player who catches the eye of many opposition teams but he is a manager's type of player.

"He is always one of the first on the teamsheet and his overall contribution during his loan spell has been a big factor in our climb up the table."

The 29-year-old, who has scored three times for Palace since joining in November, has signed a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
