A campaign encouraging Londoners to vote in the mayoral elections has been launched 100 days ahead polling.

London Elects and the Electoral Commission are trying to persuade people to register to vote for the Mayor of London and London Assembly representatives on May 1.

Current mayor, Ken Livingstone, is standing for the Labour Party; Boris Johnson, MP for Henley, represents the Conservatives and Brian Paddick, a former senior Metropolitan Police officer is standing for the Liberal Democrats.

However, the official list of candidates will be published on April 2.

Also standing are Siân Berry for the Green Party and London MEP Gerard Batten for the UKIP.

Lindsey German represents Respect; Richard Barnbrook is standing for the British National Party; Stop Congestion Charge Party's candidate is Chris Prior and Winston McKenzie, from Croydon, is an Independent candidate.
