A loved-up woman from Putney was reunited with the man of her dreams with the help of a newspaper.
Nikki Prinsloo, 33, met Brandon de Beer, 34, at the Walkabout in Putney three weeks ago when he was on a weekend break from his home in Dublin. But they lost each other at a concert in Hyde Park later that day before they had exchanged numbers.
Mr De Beer tried leafleting roads in Putney to track Nikki down but when this did not work he appealed to thelondonpaper to help him find his mystery woman.
Luckily the marketing executive spotted the article and the South African pair was reunited when Ms Prinsloo flew out to Dublin last weekend.
It was so successful the couple have made plans to meet again next weekend and have booked a holiday to Turkey.
They told thelondonpaper the weekend in Dublin was "the most amazing weekend of our lives".
"It's just so amazing. When I arrived at the airport on Friday I just ran into his arms. We went back to his apartment and he had decked out the place in candles," said Ms Prinsloo.
"There was Dom Perignon and strawberries and the finest French red wine. We spoke about everything. It was as if we had known each other a lifetime.
"I knew we'd get on well. But it exceeded expectations. My jaws are sore from talking."
Mr De Beer added: "This weekend blew my mind. I was obviously a bit apprehensive but it was better than I could ever have imagined."
