Croydon Chamber members whose businesses have been affected by the council's parking charge hike, got the chance to put their views to the cabinet member for parking at Commerce House last month.
Councillor Gerry Ryan has committed to delivering a new parking review by June in the face of widespread criticism and flagging town centre visitor numbers.
Last month he met chamber members as part of the consultation for the review.
CEO Angelina Purcell said: "It was really about putting the issue firmly at the feet of affected businesses and allowing them to have their say direct with the policy maker.
"The parking charges and restrictions have damaged businesses and some will inevitably close down. People are no longer able to amble down Surrey Street, for example. They just dive in and get the basics.
"Some of the larger employers were concerned that
parking was becoming a hindrance for staff and would impact on recruitment and retention."
Coun Ryan said he would review the restrictions and will look at some kind of discounted corporate pricing scheme.
Ms Purcell added: "He needs to look at specifics, be more flexible and deliver on what he promised at this meeting. We are hoping to have news in June."
