Officers investigating the death of a 45-year-old after a fight in Purley have made an arrest.

Police arrested a 19-year-old at an address in Shirley today following the death of Tony Prystako at the weekend.

Mr Prystako was found with head injuries at his home in Old Lodge Lane after police were called at 9.30pm on Saturday following reports of a brawl.

He was rushed to Mayday Hospital and despite receiving treatment for his injuries he died at 6am on Sunday.

A postmortem examination carried out at Croydon Mortuary yesterday failed to provide a conclusive cause of death.

Mr Prystako’s death is being investigated by the Met’s Homicide and Serious Crime Command based at Sutton.
