A 33-year-old New Addington man is due to be sentenced after admitting murdering his wife.

Wayne Forrester, 34, was charged with murdering his wife Emma, 33, after police were called to reports of a domestic dispute in Markfield, Forestdale, about 6.30am on Monday, February 18.

Officers arrived at the house and found Mrs Forrester suffering stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance officers.

It is understood the couple had separated about 10 days earlier.

An inquest held in February found Mrs Forrester had died from multiple wounds to the head and neck.

A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said at the time of the murder: "It is very sad for the family.

“I didn't know them but it has got like that around here in the last couple of years.

“People just don't talk to each other anymore."

Wayne Forrester, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty in August to murder.

He will be sentenced tomorrow at the Old Bailey.
