A man is due to appear in court today after a man was threatened with a gun while wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt outside an off-licence in South Norwood.
Peter Mahoney, 31 of Anerley Road, South Norwood was due at Bromley Magistrates’ Court charged with GBH with intent, threatening a man with a gun and racially aggravated common assault.
The incident happened on Sunday, October 5 when Dube Egwuatu left the shop wearing his Barack Obama T-shirt with the slogan Believe.
Mr Egwuatu was shot three times before being taken to Mayday Hospital where he was treated.
