This was the scene of devastation after a people carrier rolled and demolished a front wall as it ploughed into a front garden.

The snaps were taken by passer-by Barry Weller, who was on his way to Coulsdon about 2.30pm on Sunday.

He said: “I was driving past and saw the car had ended up on its side into the front garden of the house.

“It was lucky nobody was walking down the road at that time.”

Mr Weller, 62 from nearby Beckett Avenue, said the accident happened just after a bend in the road.

Mr Weller called on the council to do something to slow traffic in the area down.
