Professional muralist Jeanne Marie Eayrs clearly cares about Croydon’s culture.
The mum-of-one helped organise Under Croydon, an arts project which brightened the pedestrian subway beneath Croydon’s flyover.
Working with Croydon Council, Jeanne Marie managed to pull in enough business sponsorship to enthuse more than 600 volunteers to take part in the three-month project.
Jeanne Marie, 38, said: “It was wonderful watching people from the local community so committed to the project and find they were able to do things they didn’t know they could.
Jeanne Marie is currently working voluntarily to help host One World Week in Croydon, designed to tackle international issues like poverty with local events.
