Three men have pleaded guilty to stealing £11,000 in a violent cash-in-transit robbery in Streatham Hill.
The men were caught on April 20 after being spotted by police attacking a Group 4 security guard and making off with his cash box in a getaway car.
The armed officers, from the Met’s London Bridge Flying Squad, had been tracking the van as part of an operation to tackle cash-in-transit robberies.
The getaway car was stopped, all three men arrested, and the cash box recovered intact.
Mark Todd, 23, of Eastney Road, Croydon, Mohamed Adan,19, of Gillett Road, Croydon, and Owen Murray,27, of Biggin Hill, pleaded guilty to robbery at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, June 29.
They were remanded in custody to await sentencing on July 27.
