The final evidence has been given at a Government inquiry into the future of Crystal Palace Park.
The Planning Inspectorate’s inquiry into the London Development Agency’s £67m masterplan will now no longer be heard until closing speeches next month.
The last evidence was given on Friday, August 7, and the closing speeches from interested parties and final site visits will take place from Monday, September 7, to Wednesday September 9.
The masterplan proposals, including blueprints for a new regional sports centre and tidal lakes, were given outline approval by Bromley Council in December.
But despite support from Mayor of London Boris Johnson, the planning application was called in in January by Hazel Blears, the then Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, because of controversy surrounding building 180 flats on the parkland to finance much of the project.
The result of the planning inquiry is not expected until later this year, but could come as late as next year.
