Two schoolgirls will be setting up stall at Apps Court Farm car boot sale in West Molesey on the bank holiday weekend to raise money for the Shooting Star Hospice.

Nine-year-old Lauren Taylor, from Twickenham, and Mia Cashman, also 9, from Barnes, decided to sell old toys and clothes at the car boot sale on Sunday, August 30, after seeing a similar stall for the hospice in Hampton at a school fete.

The two girls were moved by the hospice’s work in providing care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Lauren’s grandmother Sarah Prince, who will be driving the two girls to the car boot sale, said: “They are keen on raising as much money as they can because they want to do their bit for the hospice.”

Entry into the car boot sale in Hurst Road is free and it costs £1 to use the car park.
