The revised proposals for the Waddon Leisure Centre will go on public display in September.
Residents are invited to have their say about the plans at two sessions at Waddon Infants School on September 4 and 5.
Proposals for the centre, which will include a six-lane swimming pool, two dance studios, a sports hall and a gym, were first made four years ago and were later expanded to include two blocks of flats.
But the project stalled last summer when the council's housing partner pulled out.
The event, organised by Croydon Council, will be the last opportunity for people to see how the scheme has evolved and to make comments and suggestions prior to the proposal being finalised and submitted as a planning application.
Councillor Steve O’Connell, cabinet member for regeneration and economic development, said: “Although we have never waivered from our commitment to an extensive leisure scheme and pool in Waddon, difficulties encountered as a consequence of the recession mean there have been changes from when the proposals were first announced.”
The two sessions will take place at Waddon Infants School, Purley Way - on Friday September 4, between 6 and 8pm, and on Saturday September 5, between 11am and 2pm.
The project is part of the council’s urban regeneration vehicle (CCURV), in which it is partnering developer John Laing. Hyde Housing Association will also be playing a key role. It is expected that CCURV will submit a planning application in early autumn.
