Two charities are set to benefit from the proceeds of one of the biggest charity events to take place this year.
St Christopher's Hospice and the British Paralympic Association (BPA) have been chosen as the beneficiaries of Croydon's Charity Ball.
This is the second year of the event and the organisers are hoping it will be an even bigger success than last year.
Phil Alexander, chief executive of Crystal Palace Football Club, encouraged the business community to support the event, which will take place on May 25 in a marquee at Selhurst Park.
He said: "This is not just about raising money. It is also about having a good night out."
He hopes that the event will raise in excess of £20,000 for the two charities.
Sydenham-based hospice St Christopher's provides care for terminally ill patients across south-east London.
And the BPA is preparing for a big year with the paralympic games taking place in Athens this summer.
Sixties tribute band The Overtures will be entertaining guests on the night and comedian Barry Williams will be the master of ceremonies.
To book a table for 10 guests, priced £650, call 020 8758 6023.
