A 21-year-old woman was abducted by a man who bundled her into a car near a busy bus stop and held her captive for 20 minutes.

Wandsworth Police are appealing for witnesses after the woman was grabbed near Geraldine Road, just off East Hill, on Wednesday, October 21, about 6pm.

A police spokeswoman said the woman had just got off a 156 bus when she was attacked.

She said: “He bundled her into a nearby silver VW Golf being driven by another male which drove off and stopped short of Trinity Road.

“The female was detained for about 20 minutes before being released.”

The suspect is described as white, aged 30, 5ft 10in and medium build. He was wearing a brown jumper and blue jeans.
