Police are investigating after a 42-year-old man was left with head injuries after being hit and having plant pots thrown at him by a gang in Walton early on Saturday, October 24.

The incident took place outside the Weir Hotel in Waterside Drive at about 1.20am, when the victim was approached by four youths.

His attackers were white males about 16 years old.

Two of them were wearing dark coloured hooded tops and another was wearing a white top.

Detective Constable Ian Davies, leading the investigation, said: “The victim could have been seriously injured as a result of the youths’ malicious and irresponsible actions.

"Although this is a nasty incident, I would like to remind Elmbridge residents that Surrey is one of the safest places in the country and we will take action to bring the offenders to justice.”
