A pair of robbers have been sentenced to 21 years in prison after admitting to taking part in numerous robberies across South London.
Anthony Perry, 31, received an 11-year prison sentence on Thursday, November 19 while his co-defendant, 29-year-old Fabian Dawson was handed a 10-year prison sentence in June.
At the time of the offences Perry was an absconder from prison where he was already serving a sentence for manslaughter.
Each pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to rob and one count of robbery when they appeared at Inner London Crown Court in May.
Both men pleaded guilty to being involved in the robbery of the William Hill bookmakers in London Road on August 8, 2008.
Crown Prosecution Service lawyer, Gary Dolby, said: “Each robbery was an extremely frightening experience for the staff working in each business.
”The Crown Prosecution Service was able to link the defendants to each of the cases as their method of robbery was near identical in each incident.
“One of them would feign needing to use the toilet in the premises and then they would strong arm their way into the cash area, taking whatever money they could by using violence or the threat of it.
“These are two dangerous men and I am pleased at the sentence handed down to them.”
