Julian Speroni: Had little to do but pick the ball out of the net really and was badly let down by the team in front of him. Got a hand to the second goal and maybe could have done better. 6

Danny Butterfield: Emerged with some credit as his defending was spot on and all the Palace attacks seemed to come from him as he tried to drive the team forward. Man of the match. 7

Jose Fonte: Cleared Oster's shot off the line and almost scored with a header himself but was dragged horribly out of position for the third goal and looked nervous at the back. 5

Claude Davis: Lacked the swagger and confidence he has oozed in recent games and didn't know how to deal with the movement of Sharp and Hayter. 5

Clint Hill: An uncharacteristically bad performance. Got pulled inside too many times leaving a massive space behind him that Doncaster exploited. Backed off Chambers far too much for the first goal too. 4

Shaun Derry: His worst performance in a long while, he looked tired and lacked his usual drive. Lost the ball in the lead up to the second goal and his passing throughout was poor. 4

Johnny Ertl: Only one of the midfield three to come out with any credit. He bossed the middle of the park for 10 minutes at the start of the second half when Palace looked liked scoring. 6

Neil Danns: Horrendous miss was just the topping of a disappointing display. He was hardly in the game and didn't know how to cope with the constant movement and passing of Doncaster. 4

Darren Ambrose: No goals for him this time out but was denied from a yard by good defending from Roberts. Wasted a free kick in a good position too by blasting it at the wall. 5

Victor Moses: He started off alongside Lee again but was soon switched back to wide on the left where he looked lost. Still looked the most likely player to create something but went off the boil a lot. 6

Alan Lee: Doncaster doubled up on him but he still won a fair few headers, the only problem was no one was near enough to him to get to the ball after. 5

subs:

Calvin Andrew (Lee, 67): Was anonymous and offered very little. 4

Freddie Sears (Danns, 67): Looked lively but no cutting edge. It says a lot about Palace's squad when the two strikers brought on to save the game have yet to score for the club. 5

Nick Carle (Derry, 80): The game was over and he didn't make an impact. 5 Not used: Nathaniel Clyne, Ryan Smith, Alassane N'Diaye, Sean Scannell.
