A woman from Glasgow is searching for a work colleague from 30 years ago.

Rosemary Lincoln, 54, met Joyce Johnstone while serving with the Women’s Royal Air Force (WRAF) in Germany in 1977 at the age of 18.

Miss Johnston lived in Croydon at the time and would often joke with Mrs Lincoln about the difference in their accents.

Mrs Lincoln said: “Joyce was a very special girl and I was delighted to be in the room next door to her.

“She was a committed Christian and I was a feeble Christian – very much off the rails at the time.

“Joyce sometimes invited me to church but never put pressure on me. Eventually I did go and from then have had a fully committed Christian faith.

“Joyce will have no idea about this and I’d really love to contact her to tell her how much of a difference she made in my life.

The mother of two said: “I’m afraid I know nothing about her other than she came from Croydon as we often used to have a laugh about the differences in our accents.”

Can anyone please help locate Joyce Johnstone? Did you know Miss Johnstone in the 70’s? Or better still, do you know her now?
