Teenager Victor Moses scored twice to help Crystal Palace beat Reading 4-2 at the Madejski Stadium.

Nathaniel Clyne opened the scoring for Palace with his first professional goal, drilling into the bottom corner from the edge of the box on seven minutes.

Alex Pearce then nodded Reading level from a corner before the Eagles scored two goals in first half injury time.

First Adam Federici misjudged Darren Ambrose's powerful shot from inside the box and then Moses, who had come close several times, curled a 25 yard effort into the top corner.

Palace weathered an early onslaught from Reading at the start of the second half before Danny Butterfield was harshly judged to have tripped Grzegorz Rasiak in the box with 12 minutes left.

Gylfi Sigurdsson sent Julian Speroni the wrong way from the spot bit with Reading pushing for an equaliser, a moment of pure magic from Moses settled matters.

The winger picked the ball up wide on the left and cut inside two men before curling right footed in the corner.
