Work is set to start on the playground in Wandsworth Park, Putney, councillors said.
A seesaw is being installed to the left of the train unit for younger children, and there will be a new basket swing.
There will also be a trim trail and a new wooden climbing wall.
According to plans, builders also hope to extend the fencing to incorporate 160sq m of the park into the playground.
The work is expected to start in early January and to take six working weeks.
