Members of the Waddon's dedicated police team met parents and pupils at Duppas Junior school to talk about their priorities for fighting crime.

The Waddon Safer Neighbourhood team, launched in June, delivered 8,000 leaflets to households in the area outlining how they intended to deal with anti-social behaviour in Waddon.

On September 15 the team led by Sergeant Debbie Mackenzie were met with compliments about the fall in antisocial behaviour in the area.

Ej Parrett from Waddon who was picking up her granddaughter said: "It's good to have the team here. It makes you feel a lot safer."

Duppas Junior's headteacher Tony Pierce explained problems in the area with anti- social behaviour had been decreasing in the last few years, and this summer was particularly quiet.

The Waddon team is one of three teams in the borough which have been set up to tackle antisocial behaviour with two other teams in South Norwood and Fieldway and New Addington.

From April next year a further six wards will have teams in place following public consultation.
