Croydon Schools' U11 10
Woking Schools' U11 0
Croydon Schools' Football Association got their borough fixtures off to a flying start at Greenacres Sports and Leisure Club, Warlingham, on Saturday, when the U11s hit double figures in a Surrey Schools' FA Sydney Black league match against Woking Schools.
Two Croydon boys notched up hat-tricks in an awesome display of sharp-shooting which mesmerised the plucky Woking defence, and when Woking spasmodically attacked, Croydon's no-nonsense defending thwarted their efforts.
George Gomez (Ridgeway) opened Croydon's account after six minutes following a solo run from his own half and added a second a minute later.
Alex Wynter (Davidson) scored two more to make it 4-0 by half-time.
In the second half Wynter scored in the last minute to signal his trio of goals and make the final verdict, 10-0.
Croydon's U11s have a friendly fixture against Orpington at Orpington Rovers ground on Saturday while the U13s begin their campaign with a London Schools' Gill Cup tie, away to Barking and Dagenham. (KO 10.30am).
