Teddington 17
Old Walcountians 51
Old Walcountians made a flying start to their League campaign as they demolished Teddington.
Walcountians fielded a strong side and promptly put the home side under the cosh as half-backs Luke Durkin and Andy Boivin ran through the home defence at will.
Walcountians were 10 points up after 10 minutes through tries from Bill Fuller and Chris Drinkwater, but it was a four-try blitz in the 15 minutes before half-time which put the Old Boys in an unassailable position.
With a 44-point cushion, Walcountians began to rest on their laurels and a determined Teddington XV salvaged some pride with three tries. Walcountians responded with a Ben Pusey try and next Saturday, face more challenging opponents as they take on Old Alleynians. KO 3pm.
