For many mums baby's bed time can be a struggle especially if all you want is a good night's sleep yourself.

But for Chireal Swallow her background in behavioural therapy provided her with all she needed to get her restless twins Charlotte and Sophie to settle down.

The mother-of-four observed her babies' behaviour, allowing her to work out how to respond to their cues and break any patterns of bad behaviour that were developing.

Now Chireal, who also works for the prison service helping inmates change their behaviour to make it less likely they will re-offend after their release, has set up her own business to help other parents.

Naturally Nurturing offers telephone consultations for new parents and home visits.

Chireal explained how she has already solved one two-year-old's sleeping problem with a change of duvet after discovering the tot was spending most of the night talking to her Tweenies bedspread rather than resting.

The 30-year-old said: "Lots of people are hearing conflicting advice and sometimes it takes someone from the outside to offer a fresh pair of eyes and point out what to do."
