Since February of this year I have contacted Transport for London concerning unlit traffic signals in Croydon.

They trot out every excuse under the sun for failing to repair these faults even citing theft and intermittent faults.

Currently there are at least 12 faults, mainly regarding unlit lamps on traffic lights, but also referring to unlit lamps on pelican crossings and Belisha beacons.

The number of unlit or damaged direction signs is too many to count. Some of these faults have been apparent for several weeks. All are in central Croydon.

May I suggest if identifying such problems is impossible that making a payment, say £5 to each bus driver who spots a defect and reports it.
