Rosemary Lincoln is hoping Heritage readers can help her track down the Croydon friend she lost touch with more than 20 years ago.

Rosemary, who lives in Glasgow, wants to get in touch with her old friend Joyce Johnstone, who she met while serving in the RAF during the late 1970s.

She said: "I met Joyce in 1977 at RAF Wildenrath in Germany. I first saw her when I was walking down the street the day I arrived in Germany and was surprised later when it turned out we were in rooms next door to each other.

"Joyce was an MT driver and I was a statistics clerk. We were in Germany for two years and when I came back to Scotland we kept in touch until I got married in 1980. Joyce came to Scotland for my wedding but we lost touch shortly after that.

"I am really very keen to get in touch with Joyce as I want to share some special news with her. She was a real inspiration in my life and I don't believe I ever let her know that. I'd like to put that right now."
