The net is closing in on those involved in the disorder in Croydon town centre during Euro 2004.

That was the message this week from Chief Inspector David Clayton after three people were arrested and charged following a series of dawn raids.

Officers from Operation Umpire the team set up to investigate the football riots raided a number of addresses last Wednesday.

Two youths were charged with violent disorder last Thursday and are due to appear at Croydon Youth Court on October 6.

Connor O'Kane, 19, of Anthony Road, South Norwood, also charged with violent disorder, will appear before Croydon magistrates on the same day.
