A South Norwood post office is to close permanently in the New Year making it 14th branch to cease trading in the last two years.
The Post Office announced the South Norwood Hill branch would close from Wednesday, January 5, as part of its urban network regeneration.
According to the Post Office, the closure has been agreed with the branch's subpostmaster who wants to leave the business.
Paul Simmonds, the Post Office's head of area, said: "We have very carefully considered our original proposal, on an individual branch basis, whilst also taking into account the needs of the Croydon north area as a whole.
"After taking into account the overall branch resources in the area, we have decided that permanent closure of South Norwood Hill branch is the correct action to take."
Thirty-eight post offices still remain in Croydon.
