Croydon Clocktower presents Ola Onabule and his band in concert on Saturday, February 5, at 8pm.
Ola's recent album, In Emergency, Brake Silence, has been receiving great play on Radio 2. He has built himself a fine reputation in Britain having opened for and guested with artistes such as Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, and Patti La Belle.
His music is versatile. Ola can get you funked up and on your feet and grooving in no time. His songwriting is rich in melody, set to complex yet infectious rhythms all tinged with the influence of his African roots.
His lyrics are incisive and true and tackle diverse subjects. He can comment on socio-political issues and touch the heart with a love song.
