How enviable is Mrs J Peakins' option to walk out of shops which transmit loud piped music. She can get away from it. (Croydon Guardian, January 19).
Pity people who live in densely populated housing and are forced to listen to stereo noise whenever the fancy takes a neighbour.
It's so much easier and cheaper to turn a deaf ear when you're not on the front line.
