A man was tied up and robbed of a large quantity of cash and gold coins by two men posing as police officers.
The man, in his 40s, had his hands and feet bound and was pinned to the ground while his house in Tindale Road, South Croydon, was ransacked. The victim freed himself and called the police. He suffered cuts and bruises. The robbers are white, aged between 25 and 30 and clean-shaven. One may have been called Tony.
Police believe they had an accomplice who was waiting for them in a car, possibly in Tindale Close or Purley Downs Road.
