Villa Maria nursing home has earned the Investor in People award.
The nursing home in Croham Road, South Croydon, celebrates its 31st year in business this month.
The Investor in People accolade, which recognises achieving a standard of excellence, was said to be a birthday gift for staff.
Co-owner Jean Hedgeland said: "To achieve the recognition of the Investors in People panel in six months and at the first attempt is most gratifying."
