Police in Essex believe a teenager who has been missing from his foster home could be in Croydon.

Phong Dai, a 14-year-old originally from Vietnam, has not been seen since December 11, 2004, when he disappeared from his foster home near Harwich in Essex.

Officers attempting to trace him say he has contacts in Croydon and are urging anyone who has seen the youngster to contact them immediately to confirm he is safe.

Members of the Vietnamese community are also being urged to come forward with information.

Phong is just over 5ft tall, of a small build with short, black hair and has a dragon tattoo on his right arm. When he went missing he was wearing a black, padded ‘puffa’ jacket, black Nike trousers and green trainers.
