Despite giving birth to her third child just a fortnight ago, a Croydon mum has been busy designing and selling memorabilia for Saturday’s royal wedding.

Joanna Leapman, who was featured in the Croydon Guardian in February, capitalised on Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ wedding by designing and making badges and fridge magnets to sell on the internet, but the merchandise was marked with the original wedding date – April 8.

With the wedding postponed to Saturday, April 9, Joanna designed badges, with the new date, for collectors across the world.

Joanna, 35, said: “I made the new badges as soon as the announcement was made.” She joked: “My husband is supposed to be on paternity leave, but he has been busy in front of the computer designing the badges.” Joanna also made use of her old stock by stamping postponed across the badge, which has also proved popular with collectors.
